Here are the files for my grid run example:
- Download and unzip them
- Put hsancil_... in a directory called ancils/ and put the rest in a directory called 2013/ (e.g. you should end up with files 2013/LWdown/LWdown_EI_025_201301.nc and 2013/PSurf/PSurf_EI_025_201301.nc etc.). Please note that the ancillary file is a NONSTANDARD ancillary file that comes from my MOGEN script (see here); the remaining files are eartH2Observe data.
- Next, you will need to edit the jules_drive filepath in app/jules/rose-app.conf to point to the right location
- Finally, go into 2013/ and make a set of 8 soft links using the ln -s commands listed below.

Soft link commands (to be done from 2013/ when you have the files downloaded):
cd 2013
ln -s LWdown LWdown_EI_025
ln -s PSurf PSurf_EI_025
ln -s Qair Qair_EI_025_noheight
ln -s Rainf Rainf_MSWEP_025
ln -s Snowf Snowf_EI_RGPCC_025
ln -s SWdown SWdown_EI_025
ln -s Tair Tair_EI_025_noheight
ln -s Wind Wind_EI_025_noheight
(it's useful to have these links because they allow you to substitute alternative driving data without modifying the suite).
cd 2013
ln -s LWdown LWdown_EI_025
ln -s PSurf PSurf_EI_025
ln -s Qair Qair_EI_025_noheight
ln -s Rainf Rainf_MSWEP_025
ln -s Snowf Snowf_EI_RGPCC_025
ln -s SWdown SWdown_EI_025
ln -s Tair Tair_EI_025_noheight
ln -s Wind Wind_EI_025_noheight
(it's useful to have these links because they allow you to substitute alternative driving data without modifying the suite).
The 2016 JULES Short Course material has been updated and moved across to the new JULES website (April 2017) training page here (except Alberto's example which was too large to upload there and I need to still have it uploaded here below).
